Julia Krikkay

was born in southern Germany, Julia Krikkay first studied violin at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck and later studied for a bachelor's degree (modern violin) in Bremen. At the Bremen University of the Arts she specialised in the field of historical performance practice during her bachelor's and master's studies in baroque violin with Veronika Skuplik, Thomas Albert, Evgeny Sviridov and Mechthild Karkow. In addition to her concert activities in small ensembles, she has been engaged by the following ensembles: Vox Luminis, Freiburger Barock Consort, Capella de la Torre (Katharina Bäuml), Il Pomo d'oro, Boston Early Music Festival, Weser-Renaissance, La Dolcezza (Veronika Skuplik), Capella Cracoviensis (Marcin Swiatkiewicz), Solamente Naturali (Milos Valent, Slovakia), Elbipolis Barockorchester Hamburg, Kammersinfonie Bremen (also as concertmaster), Concerto Bremen, Göttinger Barockorchester and many others.

She has performed in concerts at the Musikfest Bremen, the musicadia- Tage Alter Musik in the Sendesaal Bremen, the Heinrich Schütz Musikfest, the Händel-Festspiele Halle, the Renaissancefestival Wittenberg, the Kasseler Musiktage and the Festiwal Bachowski (Swidnica, Poland).
